Quote of the day
Q: There is so much injustice in the does one
choose a cause and go after it, ..or.. is there any way to
affect it all at once?

A: No one could solve all the problems, so we first have to
start at our own place. (home, town, country, etc.) So we
can't expect universal peace, although it is a noble

Shivaratri is a night that celebrates the Hindu deity Shiva as a manifestation of the Pure Conscious Principle. Traditionally, Shiva Ratri is observed on the lunar fortnight, when the moon is waning, in the western months of February or March. To devout practitioners, this night is considered a time of consecration, dedication, and intensive Sadhana practice with an aim of spiritual awakening.

In 2015, Shivaratri will be celebrated on Tuesday, the 17th of February into Wednesday, the 18th. All are welcome.

Hara Hara Mahadev!

Going deeper, Feb 20 - 24

This small group retreat is devoted to a deeper level of meditation and purification practice for people who already have had some Yoga experience.  To help calm the mind and allow it to turn inward, we will utilize a light diet of pure foods, a variety of purification practices, an observance of silence, and a meditative cave-like atmosphere of seclusion, all designed for inner reflection. A number of hours each morning and afternoon will be devoted to prescribed meditations, breathing exercises and practice of asana in the tradition of Ashtanga Yoga as taught by Baba Hari Dass.  Time for reflection and study, spiritual stories, rituals, chanting of mantra and other devotional practices are also part of this special retreat. Because this type of practice deepens as we immerse ourselves, we give first priority to those who are able to attend the full program. Enrollment is limited, please register early.
